Novelist
James Michener wrote that Bora Bora is "the most beautiful island in the
world." It certainly makes the most dramatic first appearance,
especially if you arrive by air. Surrounding the small island is the
most stunning lagoon in all the Pacific.
Its colors, ranging from the palest turquoise to the
deepest blues, are created by the water's varying depths. Amid the rich
emerald green of the island itself, the basalt obelisk of Mount Otemanu stands
godlike, often draped in white clouds. You will find blissful solitude
on Bora Bora's white sand beaches, where locals and tourists alike practice a
casual approach to bathing attire. To leave civilization one more step
behind, take a boat ride to one of the many sandy motus that dot the coral
reef.
Nearly every water sport is enjoyed on Bora Bora, but
most famous is its snorkeling. The lagoon's countless species of
tropical fish, brilliant coral gardens and crystal-clear waters make for some
of the most beautiful undersea views in the world. |

The Hotel Bora Bora is an exclusive 54-room resort
nestled on the main island, situated on its own secluded peninsular
and flanked by beautiful white sands and facing one of the worlds
most spectacular lagoons.
Renowned as a romantic hideaway and a consistent winner
of distinguished awards for excellence from journalists and readers
pools alike.
The atmosphere here is relaxed, the service polished,
friendly and understated. Three tennis courts, a boutique and
in-room massage compete with the call of the lagoon where snorkeling
and scuba diving are available, there are also sailing excursions and
paddleboats for those seeking some lagoon exploration.
Dining here is a delight with exquisite international
and Polynesian cuisine served at the Matira Terrace Restaurant,
Pofai Beach Bar and private in room dining. Late afternoon tea is
poured down at the beach.
The beautifully furnished accommodations all include
thatched padunas roofs, overhead fans, freestanding bathtubs and
separate showers. The Bungalows are nestled in the tropical gardens
with the Superior Bungalows set on the beach, as are the Deluxe
Bungalows, which also have a separate lounge and sun deck. The Overwater Bungalows feature four-poster canopy beds and partially
shaded sun deck and lower deck with steps into the water. The
Premium Overwater Bungalows are of the same design but situated over
the water on a coral reef. "Fares" (or villas) are equipped with
living room, bedroom, king size four-poster canopy bed, en-suite
sitting room and bathroom. Beach Fares and Premium Fares with prime
beach locations on the south side of the resort are available and
the Pool Fares are situated in the gardens with a private swimming
pool and rock garden wall for extra privacy. |

design of Pierre Jean Picart who employed local architects and
artisans to give the property its authentic character and charm.
Accommodations and public rooms are decorated with bamboo and
coconut hemp; tapa cloth and woodcarvings recount local legends.
Located on 48 luxuriant acres on the motu (island) of "Tevairoa"
facing Bora Bora's Mount "Otemanu", breathtaking beauty is standard.
Fine cuisine is a featured attraction and the Bora Bora
Pearl Beach Resort boasts a casual poolside café and formal
restaurant steeped in terraces with truly majestic views.
Numerous services and activities are offered including
