Legend has it
that long ago the demigod Maui climbed to the top of Haleakala Crater where he
lassoed the sun and held it captive until it promised to slow down its passage
over the Hawaiian Islands. Today, thanks to Maui, hiking to Haleakala's
summit for soul-stirring sunrises and sunsets is just one of the enchanting
activities to enjoy on this "magic isle."

The U-shaped design of the Resort's eight-storey,
classically styled building ensures that 80 percent of the rooms and
suites enjoy dazzling views of the Pacific Ocean. Other rooms
overlook tropical hillsides and the luxurious, landscaped gardens.
All guest rooms and suites include comfortable seating, a large
marble bathroom and a spacious, furnished lanai. Most offer a
king-sized bed, but double beds are also available.
The large Fountain Pool has a whirlpool at each end and a central
fountain. It is heated 78–82ºF (24–26ºC). Our pool attendants
provide ice water, chilled towels and Evian water mists. Food and
beverage service is available poolside.
Ferraro's at Seaside doubles as a casual lunch locale
by day and a romantic Italian restaurant by night. Lunch is served
overlooking Wailea Beach. In the evening, guests dine under a
canopy of stars at Wailea's only beachside restaurant.
Serves casual fare and pupus (appetizers) by day. By night,
Ferraro's features live entertainment and
spectacular sunset views. Also, try one of our fabulous ice cream
specialties and the perfect cappuccino.
